Prof. Isa Kizgut from the Department of Archaeology of Akdeniz University presented the Rhodiapolis test site in the "Zaman Yolcusu" show of the Turkish television channel NTV on 23 July 2011.
10/06/2011 - Press conference of FIRESENSE project in Prato, Italy
During the 6th FIRESENSE technical meeting, a press conference about FIRESENSE was organized by CNR and CSN. The conference took place on 10 June 2011 in the building of the Centre of Natural Science (CSN) in Galceti Park. Reporters from 3 Italian TV stations (Prato TV, Toscana TV and RTV38) and many journalists from local newspapers where invited and attended the press conference.
2/6/2011 - Fire detection in Galceti Park based on FIRESENSE cameras
On 2 June 2011, a fire incident occurred only 500 meters away from the Galceti Park. The fire was initially detected by human observation using the cameras of the FIRESENSE system. The fire burned an area of 1-1.2 hectares before being put out by helicopters and fire fighting forces.
