FIRESENSE Workshop, 8-9 November 2012, Antalya, Turkey PDF Print E-mail

 

The International Workshop on Multi-Sensor Systems and Networks for Fire Detection and Management will be held in Antalya, Turkey, on 8-9 November 2012.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers from all over the world, who deal with fire detection and management using multi-media and multi-sensor devices and networks. Furthermore, the outcome of the research that was carried out in European Community Funded Project FIRESENSE (Fire Detection and Management through a Multi-Sensor Network for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Areas from the Risk of Fire and Extreme Weather Conditions, FP7-ENV-2009-1–244088-FIRESENSE, www.firesense.eu) will be presented. Basic research papers as well as application papers are welcome.

A field trip to Rhodiapolis, one of the test sites of the FIRESENSE Project, is planned during the second day of the Workshop.  Rhodiapolis is an ancient city that is two hours away from Antalya by bus.  A live demo of the FIRESENSE system will be performed at the site to the participants.

 

VENUE:

The Workshop will be held at Crowne Plaza Antalya Hotel. Crowne Plaza Antalya Hotel is located on Konyaalti beach, overlooking the Mediterranean Gulf. It is about 5 Km from the city centre of Antalya.
